Run a petanque tournamentand let the rest work itself out
Singles, doubles and triples, games to 13 or to 11, and timed games when the day has a hard end. You pick your categories and share the link. Entries arrive without a list, the draw spreads the games across your pistes, and the table is right before the last boule settles.
What PlayTour does for your tournament day
No more group chat about who plays with whom
Singles, doubles and triples are ready as events, each with its own entry fee and capacity. In a doubles or a triples your team-mates confirm themselves through a link.
- Tête-à-tête, doublette and triplette
- Team-mates confirm themselves, you phone nobody
- Room for a reserve in a triples, in case somebody drops out
- A waiting list per event the moment it fills
The table is right without anyone keeping it
The game to 13 points is the match format. For qualifying rounds the game to 11 is ready to go, and for a day with a hard finish you can play to the clock.
- A game to 13 points, no margin and no extension
- A game to 11 for the qualifying rounds
- Play to the clock when the day has to end on time
- Results entered on the piste by the players themselves
A withdrawal on the morning costs no hour
Pools followed by a bracket for an ordinary tournament day, or the Swiss system for a big field where you do not want to send anybody home after one game.
- Pools, a bracket, or pools into a knockout
- Swiss, for a field that stays complete
- Pistes and playing times per round
- Every entrant sees piste, time and opponent
Petanque tournament questions
Does everybody at our club have to play through an app?+
No. One person at the desk can enter sign-ups and results for whoever would rather not, while everybody else registers themselves. You do not have to make the whole club work the same way to end up with one set of records.
Can I use 13 and 11 points on the same day?+
Yes. Qualifying goes to 11 and the main draw to 13, by choosing the format that belongs to each stage. Results are checked against it, so a game played to 11 cannot end 13-9.
What if somebody drops out of a triples?+
A triples enters with three players and has room for a fourth as a reserve. If somebody drops out you adjust the team without redoing the entry.
We have a terrain with twenty pistes. Can the schedule use that?+
It can. You state which pistes are in play and when, and the draw is spread across them. It also means you see in advance whether your pools fit the day, rather than halfway through the afternoon.
Do players have to enter the results themselves?+
They may, but they need not. You choose whether players enter on the piste or the desk does it. Either way the table updates immediately and a correction stays visible in the log.
