Tournament software,tuned to your sport
A padel draw is made of pairs, a football tournament runs groups across four pitches, a chess open is paired Swiss and a road race starts in one go. That is not ten programmes. It is one system with the dials set differently per sport.
What changes per sport, and what never does
Managing entries, collecting entry fees, drawing and publishing work the same way whatever you play. Exactly three things differ, and you choose them per event.
Who enters
A player, a pair, a team, a crew or a relay squad. The sport decides what is on offer, and the entry form asks for that and nothing else.
- Men's doubles in padel, four to eight boards in chess
- Team-mates confirm themselves through their own link
- A line-up and reserves per team, with a floor and a ceiling
- Categories by age, gender and level
How it is scored
Sets in padel and volleyball, legs and sets in darts, goals in football, points to 13 in petanque, a finishing time in running. You pick the scoring per event and the results work the table out themselves.
- Best of three sets, best of five legs or a game to 13
- You decide what separates two competitors who are level
- Scores entered at the court, the table or the board
- The standings are right while play is still going on
How it is played
Groups, knockout, double elimination, Swiss or a mass start. The draw and the playing schedule follow that choice, per event, and in stages one after another when you play pools first and a bracket after.
- Pools first, then the bracket, inside one tournament
- Swiss for an open field, so nobody goes home after an hour
- Mass start for a race, where nobody is drawn against anybody
- Courts, pitches, tables and boards all count in the schedule

If yours is not here yet, that does not mean PlayTour cannot handle it. The system has no favourite sport, because a tournament is everywhere the same three things: entrants, a format and a way of counting. What is still needed is for somebody to go through your sport’s rules, and we do that on request. Use the contact form to tell us which sport you are missing.
