Run a road race,from entry list to results
You set up your distances and share the link. Runners enter themselves, bib numbers are assigned, and you can see how many stand at each distance. After the finish the times go in and the result is ready per age category, without anyone sorting a list by hand.
How a running event works in PlayTour
Three things about running are unlike every other sport on this platform.
Four distances, one entry list
The 5k, the 10k, the half marathon and the trail are four events inside one meeting, each with its own entry fee, its own number of places and its own start time.

After the finish it is only typing
In a mass start everybody leaves together and only elapsed time counts. A time penalty is applied inside that time rather than noted beside it, so the result is what the clock says and nothing else.

Every category its own result, without sorting
There is one overall result, and most runners look at their own category instead. You fix the age and gender split per distance, and it is settled before the first entry arrives.

Running event questions
Can one event hold several distances?+
Yes, and that is the point. Every distance is an event of its own with its own price, capacity, closing date and start time. A runner picks the distance while entering.
How is a relay scored?+
A relay squad is a single entrant made up of two to six runners. The squad enters as one, and the time that counts is the squad’s, not any individual runner’s.
Can I import times from my timing system?+
That is not something we promise today. What does exist: results are recorded as times and the ranking follows from them. If you use a timing system, tell us which one, so we know what to look at.
I am a runner, what is here for me?+
You find the running events listed on PlayTour and enter the distance you want with a free account. Paying online is coming soon; until then the organiser collects the entry fee itself.
Racing on the track?
Running and athletics are two sports on PlayTour, and the line between them is the stadium wall.
Athletics
The stadium programme: heats with a start list, lanes rather than a field, and beside the track races the jumps, the throws and the combined events, where a distance, a height or a points total is the result.
